Located on 56th St. and Channing Rd. just east of I-465 on the north east-side of Indianapolis is All Souls Unitarian.
I was headed to friends house on July 4th for a cookout when I went up to his area of town a little early to take photos of churches in the area. As I was taking pictures a lady who was doing work outside the church asked me if I was with a sign company (the questions I get from people when they see me outside taking photos are pretty wide ranging), I said no and told her about the site and what I was doing. She said i didn't want to photograph the church sign because it had seen better days and they are replacing it soon. I replied I will email the church with the site information, and when you get the new sign I will be more than happy to drive back up and update the post....as you can see I am a bit late getting to it.
The church has a history dating back to 1903 and the current location has been home since 1959! Their website contains a wealth of information on the unitarian faith, the history of the church, sermons, and much more. They have a memorial garden located on the grounds that I didn't see and a pretty neat interior, so hopefully I can go back and they will allow me to shoot some inside.
Their website is located here.
